The Emerald
Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus is a work which
coins the term "As
above, so below." The actual text as translated by Dennis
W. Hauck is
"That which is Below
corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above corresponds
to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracle of the One
Thing." (Scully, 2003)

It is used in occult circles to demonstrate in essence
the synchronicity between the inner life of the psyche and the outer
life of manifest reality.
