Daimon
(1) Daimon in the classical
Greek sense of the word means spirit (not necessarily 'bad spirit'),
replete with knowledge and divine power. They were intermediaries
between humans and the gods, invisible spirit guides or advisors,
and sometimes Tricksters.
(2) Jung said, "A
creative person has little power over his own life. He is not free.
He is captive and drawn by his daimon." -Memories, Dreams and Reflections, 329 (1961)
