Eris

(1) Eris in Greek Mythology is
the goddess or Daimon (spirit) of strife and discord. A trickster
archetype, she stirs 'trouble' and creates transformation by breaking
open boundaries.
(2) According to
Hesiod (Theog. 225, &c.),
she is a daughter of Night, and he describes her as the mother
of a variety of allegorical beings, which are the causes or representatives
of man's misfortunes.
