Kim's Eros in Pisces
EROS enters the sign of Pisces on February 18, 2013 and will transit there until April 6, 2013 (see ephemeris below).
Introduction to Eros
Eros brings beauty, meaning and divinity into our lives. It comes to us through a very particular epiphany, a passionate inspiration present in a particular lover, teacher, melody, or landscape. We long to follow it always. . . ” --Harriet Eisman
Asteroid 433 Eros is one of the Near Earth Asteroids, also known as a planet crosser . He orbits between Venus and Mars, taking 1.76 years to complete a cycle. Tumbling silently end over end, Eros has now caught the attention of scientists by hosting the first satellite ever to reach, orbit and land on an asteroid. Given the known link between finding a planet and the awakening of social values corresponding to what that body represents, this is the time for us to study the astrological aspects of Eros as well.
What is the god of love all about? The name itself is the ancient Greek word for erotic love, although its meaning is not necessarily sexual. Eros to the Greeks meant a merging of the souls in such a way that it created a lasting transformation. It can happen in any situation of great intimacy, emotional risk, taboo passion or creative expression.
Where Eros rules in the astrological chart—by sign, house and aspects—is a marker for our beliefs, orientation and experiences of erotic love. This includes creative passions, transformational unions and the power of fate to manifest through intimacy with another. It can involve a direct experience of the divine.
Asteroid 433 Eros can give us added information on a very particular kind of love. When touched off by transit, aspect or synastry, Eros evokes passions that are not based on lunar comfort, Venus sensuality or Mars desires. Eros is not about relationships that make us feel secure, worthy or satisfied. It is not about getting our way or winning love. It is not about commitment or harmony.
Eros is about merging a piece of our own heart with the beloved to create change. With Eros, there is a sense of risk whether the beloved is an individual, a creative project or an icon of the divine. When Eros awakens, no mater how unaffected the other planets are, something begins to brew beneath the surface. Given a chance to operate, a potent energy is always unleashed.
The potential rewards of such a union are not always measurable by common standards like success, endurance, wealth or overt meaning. An encounter with Eros does not build empires, launch careers or plan weddings: it grows souls. Without considering the god of love in the horoscope, we may miss the power behind our urge to transform through love. The best way to welcome this kind of transformation is to allow it.
Law of Attraction Tip ONE
Open Palm (from my Good Vibe Coach, Jeannette Maw)
Here is the art to allowing. It’s called ‘open palm’. As you sit reading, notice your hands. Are they clenched or resting lightly? If you can turn your hands palms up, for just a moment, and open your them, you will feel in your body what I mean by allowing. Allow for the lightness of being. Think of it as if you were wanting to attract a wild horse. (Money, or a dream career, relationship, enlightenment, anything, is like a wild horse) Would you have more success with closed fists waving in the air or an open palm? The perfect results in front of you. All you have to do is let it in. Open palm can be the first step, right here and right now. Try it!
Eros in Pisces
Held fast in a faience of sea changes
While waves queue offshore in glittering strings;
Till love’s continuum rearranges,
The persevering sea harbors all things.
Eros in Pisces seeks a mystical union. It may awaken in us a desire to return to paradise--to re-member the feeling of connection to our source. This is the state of the enlightened mystic, and the universe of the quantum physicist. It is also the state of being in love.
This position of Eros, in the third of the WATER signs, represents the connection to the higher Self and the ecstasy that process brings. It also embraces the mysterious sense of the ineffable, something seldom glimpsed in our day to day relationships, unless we're looking for it. It suggests the beauty and creativity seen in moments of meditation, dance and creative epiphany. It can also be seen in the eyes of the lover who has touched our soul.
Eros in Pisces craves a romantic atmosphere--candles, aromas, moon rise, sunset and music. Like all water signs, Eros in Pisces is not afraid to share stories, painful or joyful, or to comfort or console. This is a beguiling position for Eros and here he can be the great seducer as well as the one seduced--teaching us something about being open and allowing in both love and creativity.
When an affair or creative project begins with Eros is in Pisces,it may feel like a mystical union is taking place. Pisces longs for higher states of consciousness and when we glimpse such levels, we may be willing to give up everything to glimpse it again. We are willing to become quite despondent too, if things do not work out 'as we think they should.' This is where Pisces in Eros becomes the tragic victim of love--and the feelings processed in this state can transform an individual as they shed old dependencies and gain a higher sense of worthiness and self-love.
When Eros enters the sign of Pisces he tends to vanish into the shadows where all the clearly defined passions and intentions blur. As the god of love transits here, he may be felt strongly, although the question is always where? Hidden in the obscurity of the unconscious, Eros makes subtle yet important stirrings by emerging in dreams, on the big screen, in a favorite novel or in the heart of a secret affair. Creativity can flourish as we dip into the oceans of collective unconscious and arises with lost treasures.
Nothing is what it seems to the rational mind and this appears to be the intent. Eros in Pisces can help us 'loosen our grip' on reality so that new ideas and new ways of seening the world emerge. By blurring the conscious understanding of intimate needs, by making them very difficult to identify or understand, any rigid concepts about erotic love melt away. When they reform, as Eros transits into Aries, or moves back into Aquarius, the contact with erotic union can be deeper and the awareness of Self greater. The paramount requirement is to let go, to melt, to merge, to float downstream. Everything that can be gained by this transit is done so by letting go of resistance to everything.
Law of Attraction Tip TWO
Worthiness Magic—Another great tip from Jeannette Maw, the Good Vibe Coach!
The premises is, the universe can only give to you as good as you give to yourself. Your abundance is an inside job—no one outside of you can MAKE you land the perfect career, finances or opportunity. You do that yourself. Worthy Magic is a way to make things happen, from the inside out.
Once a day, write out a short list of ‘worthies’ and make them specific for money, career, anything you desire!
I am worthy of abundance.
I am worthy of independence.
I am worthy of freedom AND closeness.
I am worthy of trust.
I am worthy of love.
I am worthy of true love.
I am worthy of profound intimacy.
I am worthy of creative expression.
I am worthy of my ideas.
I am worthy of recognition
I am worthy of my place on earth. . .
It is such a simple thing, to state ones worthiness of life and everything in it. The results are spectacular. Try it.
Eros in Aspect to Saturn
It was a dream of perfect bliss . . .

Saturn is the form, function and gravity that keeps life on earth from floating off into the cosmos. Without Saturn, there is no physical existence.
When Saturn transits with Eros, the opportunity to transform lead to gold may come though the medium of erotic love. We have the chance to learn to love our 'flaw' because it stands before us in the form of the beloved.
Eros with Saturn can suggest difficulty discerning between an experience of erotic attraction and an experience of fear. As Eros awakens, so does Saturn and the initial response can range from wise caution to panic. The alarming thing is that Saturn seems to increase, not destroy, our sense of allure to the other. A fascination develops that spirals around a catch 22 that says the closer we get, the more we fear, and the more we fear the stronger the compulsion for closeness. The magnet attunes to captivate someone with a similar 'flaw' and fears. This alone can produce tremendous growth and understanding.
Eros linked to Saturn by aspect is like the bond between Beauty and the Beast. At first, she is terrified of the monster in prince’s clothing, yet to save her father, also a symbol of Saturn, she offers herself to him. She willingly places herself in the Beast’s domain, determined to protect her father in spite of her overwhelming fears. In this story, it is not long before the young maiden sees beauty where before was only ugliness. The true wonder is that she is finally seeing herself.
Law of Attraction Tip Three
The BIG one:
Pray Rain Journal—this is my favorite
'A pray rain journal is kept for the purpose of bringing your dream to reality. Its power is in aligning your vibration with that which you want, and is accomplished by putting pen to paper about your dream as if you were already living it.'--Jeannette Maw
